Ohio House Explosion Kills 2, Injures 1 as Investigation Continues

The blast in Bethel scattered debris across the neighborhood, leaving two dead, a heating repairman injured, and the cause still undetermined.

A house explosion on Vic Joy Drive in Bethel, Ohio, occurred around 9 a.m. on Tuesday, November 19, killing a man and a woman and injuring a heating repairman with burns.
The blast sent debris across the neighborhood, causing minor damage to nearby homes and was strong enough to shake residences and wake neighbors.
Authorities are investigating the cause of the explosion, with the Ohio State Fire Marshal leading the effort; propane was confirmed to be in use at the home, but no cause has been identified yet.
The sole survivor, a heating repairman working on the furnace at the time, managed to escape the blaze and was transported to the University of Cincinnati Medical Center
The explosion also resulted in the deaths of several animals, including up to 30 cats, and fire crews took 45 minutes to extinguish the flames.
