Ohio High School Student on Drugs Assaults Teacher, Causes Severe Brain Injury

The student, found hallucinating with a self-inflicted head wound, also assaulted another student and is now in juvenile detention.

A 15-year-old student at Colerain High School in Ohio, under the influence of an unknown drug, attacked a 60-year-old teacher, causing her a severe brain injury that required the removal of her skull cap.
The student also allegedly assaulted another 15-year-old student by grabbing and pinching his neck.
The teacher was rushed to the University of Cincinnati Medical Center
The student, who was found hallucinating and with a self-inflicted head wound, was taken to the hospital and later to the Hamilton County Juvenile Detention Center on a charge of felonious assault.
The school and police are investigating the incident, which the school has described as an isolated event, and there is no current threat to the school community.
