Offset Backs Cardi B’s New Album, Declares ‘No Competition’

He cast their parallel release cycles as noncompetitive to keep the focus on family.

Overview

  • In a brief TMZ exchange at LAX on Sept. 9, Offset said he will support Cardi B’s Am I the Drama? and called the music “hard.”
  • He dismissed talk of chart or awards rivalry, saying he wants “all peace” so “everybody gotta win” because they share children.
  • Cardi B’s sophomore album is slated for Sept. 19, following Offset’s August release of Kiari, which he described as his most personal solo work.
  • Cardi told Billboard that a lasting friendship with Offset is unlikely after her July 2024 divorce filing, responding, “I tried. Next question.”
  • She also said going public with her relationship with NFL receiver Stefon Diggs was difficult and promoted the album with street-level sales in New York City.
