  • Mexico’s SEP published its national basic-education calendar in the DOF, setting 185 instructional days from Monday, Sept. 1, 2025 to Tuesday, July 15, 2026, with classes proceeding on Sept. 1 in the State of Mexico.
  • The schedule outlines seven official long weekends and adds CTE Friday closures across the year, with sessions slated on Sept. 26, Oct. 31, Nov. 28, Jan. 30, Feb. 27, Mar. 27, May 29 and Jun. 26.
  • Winter-break dates are reported inconsistently: Proceso cites Dec. 22, 2025–Jan. 7, 2026 with return Jan. 8, while Merca2.0 lists Dec. 22–Jan. 9 with return Jan. 12; both report Semana Santa from Mar. 30 to Apr. 10, 2026.
  • Teacher activities include a late-August intensive CTE phase and January workshops, and the national preinscription window for 2026–27 runs Feb. 3–13, 2026.
