Overview

• HPD officers responded to a call at an apartment complex on Cinnamon Lane just south of Beechnut Street before dawn Friday.
• Two officers discharged their weapons during the encounter and no officers were injured.
• A rifle was recovered near the scene and a teenage male was found with a gunshot wound to the stomach.
• The teen was taken to Texas Children’s Hospital and his condition remains unreported.
• A man and a woman arrested at the scene are being investigated for possible involvement in the shooting.
