Officer Punched After Dudley Crash as Police Recover Range Rover and Arrest Two

  • A man was seen walking away, and as a female officer tried to stop him entering a nearby Range Rover he punched her in the throat.
  • The Range Rover drove off before traffic and drone units located the vehicle and two suspects in the Swindon area of South Staffordshire.
  • Police arrested a 46-year-old man on suspicion of assaulting an emergency worker and drink-driving, and a 48-year-old woman on suspicion of assisting an offender.
  • West Midlands Police said the officer was not seriously injured, the vehicle was recovered, and both suspects remain in custody.
