• Security footage shows both men exiting the same car on Avenida Jambeiro before exchanging shots as one voice is heard saying, “I’m going to kill you.”
• The victim is Sgt. Eduardo Filipe Santiago Ferreira, 42, from the 18th BPM, and the arrested colleague is Sgt. William Amaral da Conceição, 36, from the 40th BPM.
• Civil Police reported finding no evidence of the attempted robbery that William claimed and he told investigators he did not remember the gunfire.
• William was treated at Albert Schweitzer Municipal Hospital, transferred to the PM’s Central Hospital, discharged, and taken to the force’s prison unit in Niterói.
