Overview
- Itai Tech Ltd was fined £50,000 for operating Undress.cc without the “highly effective” age assurance required by the Online Safety Act.
- Ofcom added a £5,000 penalty after the company failed to comply with a statutory information request.
- Undress.cc was made unavailable to users with UK IP addresses after the investigation began, an action Ofcom considered when setting the fine.
- Formal investigations have been opened into five companies running about 20 pornography sites, with 76 providers now listed in Ofcom’s age-assurance enforcement programme.
