Overview
- The eight preferred entrants are Auckland FC and Christchurch United (New Zealand), Bula Boys FC (Fiji), Hekari United FC (Papua New Guinea), Solomon Kings FC (Solomon Islands), Tahiti United FC, Vanuatu FC and South Melbourne (Australia).
- Participation remains conditional on clubs completing OFC licensing and compliance checks, with an official launch scheduled in Auckland at the end of October.
- The inaugural season is planned for January to May 2026 with at least 17 matches per club before a top-four/bottom-four split leading to semi-finals.
- Solomon Kings is a joint venture between the Solomon Islands Football Federation and Brisbane’s Wynnum Wolves with plans for an Australian training base at the Clare Polkinghorne Centre.
- A-League side Wellington Phoenix was not selected and says it is seeking clarity on the scoring after expressing disappointment.
