Overview

  • ODOT is launching a $173 million rehabilitation of I-90 between West Boulevard in Cleveland and Hilliard Boulevard in Rocky River.
  • The highway, built in the 1960s and 1970s, now carries about 140,000 vehicles daily and has reached the end of its service life.
  • Work begins Aug. 4 with off-peak lane closures and temporary pavement installations, and full operations are slated to run through October 2028.
  • Upgrades include full-depth pavement replacement, median barrier wall renewals, drainage enhancements, shoulder widening and new overhead lighting.
