Overview

• Raja Kishore Jena was arrested on charges of possessing assets 317 percent above his legal income after raids at ten linked locations.
• Ten teams comprising DSPs, inspectors, sub-inspectors and assistant sub-inspectors executed search warrants issued by the Special Judge Vigilance Court in Bhubaneswar.
• Searches targeted Jena’s paternal home, office chamber, in-law’s residence, two Bhubaneswar flats, two mall shops and multiple land plots.
• Officials seized a multi-storey building at Niladri Vihar, 13 high-value plots, bank, postal and insurance deposits totaling Rs 75 lakh, Rs 67 lakh spent on education and over Rs 30 lakh in cash and valuables.
• Assistant Engineer Ashok Kumar Panda was also taken into custody after attempts to conceal assets led sleuths to recover cash, gold, silver, land documents and several properties.
