Odisha Says 1.3 Lakh Grievances Resolved as CM Moves to Institutionalise Weekly Hearings

The drive prioritises on-the-spot assistance for vulnerable citizens through the Single Window System.

  • Since July 2024, the state received 1,49,418 complaints via portal and post, disposing of 1,30,845 cases, or about 88 percent.
  • At the CM grievance cell, 12,748 of 13,358 complaints have been resolved, reflecting a 95 percent disposal rate across 16 phases.
  • More than 56,028 people have participated in the grievance sessions held since the initiative began.
  • The government plans weekly hearings on Mondays—about three to four times a month—and will expand sessions to more locations with district collectors’ support.
  • The latest hearing focused on issues faced by persons with disabilities, and the CM sanctioned immediate medical aid via the Single Window System and the CM Relief Fund to named patients.
