Overview
- The IMD says a well-marked low-pressure area over the northwest Bay of Bengal is set to move west-northwest across north Odisha into adjoining Jharkhand and north Chhattisgarh within 24 hours.
- Orange and yellow alerts remain in effect for multiple Odisha districts through Thursday morning, with additional rain warnings issued for the next four days.
- Balasore is among the worst hit, with water entering the district hospital and a main post office treasury room, damaging currency, documents and computers.
