Overview

  • The state cabinet approved raising the upper age limit for government service applications from 32 to 42 years under the Odisha Civil Service Rules.
  • The revised age cap excludes uniformed roles such as police, fire, forest and excise services and positions requiring physical efficiency tests.
  • Further relaxation of the age limit will apply to candidates from SC, ST, SEBC, women, ex-servicemen and persons with disabilities.
  • The Odisha Artificial Intelligence Policy, 2025 seeks to improve governance, stimulate innovation, enhance data-driven decision-making and enable inclusive socio-economic development.
  • Under the policy, the Odisha AI Mission will coordinate AI initiatives across departments and support public agencies, startups and academic institutions.
