Overview
- A Padwa police team intercepted a Bolero on October 14 after a chase from Mali Sublar Chhak, stopping the SUV near a checkpost as one suspect reportedly brandished a pistol.
- Officers recovered about 350 kilograms of high-grade cannabis valued at Rs 35 lakh and two pistols, and the operation ended without injuries.
- The arrested suspects were identified as Lal Bahadur Darjee, Trinath Khara, Suresh Bisoi, Sanjaya Khara, and Jogesh Khara.
- Police described Darjee as a habitual offender with more than 20 cases, including under the NDPS and POCSO Acts, and said a team was sent to Bihar to probe his interstate links.
