• The annual Rath Yatra festival begins June 27 and will unfold through key rituals including Snana Purnima, Hera Panchami and Niladri Bije.
• DGP YB Khurania chaired a high-level meeting on June 3 in Cuttack to finalize detailed security arrangements for the event.
• The plan includes installation of CCTV cameras at key locations, deployment of road dividers and delineators, dedicated traffic zones, ample parking and temporary police outposts in Puri.
• K-9 squads, quick response teams and enhanced patrols along the Puri beach and railway stations will bolster law enforcement.
• All Puri police stations will launch special drives against anti-social elements and coordinate with district authorities for swift public issue resolution, while helipads will be arranged for visiting dignitaries.
