• The new route winds through streams, grasslands and dense forest, with a stretch along Hirakud Wetland where wading birds can be seen.
• Officials report over 340 bird species occur at Debrigarh year-round, with more than 110 species recorded at Hirakud Wetland each winter.
• Forty-two display boards along the path detail identification cues such as calls, behavior, nesting patterns, diet and lifespan for commonly seen species.
• A short film features mating, distress and contact calls to help visitors identify birds by sound.
• Guided treks with trained naturalists are offered to support learning for students, first-time birders and nature enthusiasts.
