  • The Odisha government has launched an ambitious Rs 1,000 crore project to construct 500 km of disaster-resilient roads over five years, ensuring connectivity during natural disasters.
  • The Mukhyamantri Bus Seva scheme will provide 50% fare concessions for women, transgender persons, students, persons with disabilities, and senior citizens, with a Rs 3,278 crore budget over three years.
  • A Rs 426 crore Constituency-wise Allocation scheme will upgrade rural roads across all 142 Assembly constituencies between 2024-25 and 2026-27.
  • Healthcare initiatives include a five-year continuation of the Nirmal scheme (Rs 5,174.79 crore), the NIDAAN free diagnostics and dialysis program (Rs 2,459.51 crore), and Rs 2,021.87 crore for bio-medical waste management.
  • Veterinary services will be strengthened with the creation of 113 new posts, raising the Odisha Veterinary Technical Service cadre to 4,158 members.
