Overview
- The State Level Single Window Clearance Authority, which met on Thursday, approved 22 proposals totaling about Rs 3,855.38 crore and listed named company proponents and district locations.
- Officials say the projects span 11 sectors — including tourism, compressed biogas, paper and packaging, aerospace and defence, pharmaceuticals and logistics — and are planned across 12 districts.
- The package carries an official projection of roughly 7,765 jobs, with large items including about Rs 1,035.62 crore for tourism, Rs 1,029.91 crore for paper/packaging/plastics and roughly Rs 680 crore for three CBG plants.
- Clearance from the SLSWCA is an administrative green light only, so project progress now depends on land allocation, environmental and other statutory clearances, financing and company implementation decisions.
- If built, projects such as a 5 MW rooftop‑solar enabled logistics park, an Rs 82 crore Global Competency Centre by Linde, and CBG facilities by Indian Oil and others could shift investment toward clean fuel, logistics and advanced manufacturing in Odisha.
