Overview
- The State Level Single Window Clearance Authority, chaired by Chief Secretary Anu Garg, approved 14 investment proposals on Friday that total Rs 2,780.10 crore and project 14,104 jobs.
- Major approvals include a Rs 500 crore Haldiram snacks and baked-products plant in Khordha with about 800 jobs and a Rs 450 crore phosphorus-derivatives plant by Prasol Chemicals in Ganjam with about 458 jobs.
- The panel cleared a Rs 251.45 crore Sahana Clothing garment unit in Dhenkanal expected to create roughly 5,104 jobs and a Rs 300 crore Syrma SGS PCB assemblies and box-build facility in Khordha expected to add about 500 jobs.
- Infrastructure and minerals moves won approval too, including a Rs 405.35 crore private railway siding for Mahanadi Coalfields in Angul and a Rs 160 crore integrated ferro-alloy and chrome processing complex in Keonjhar projected to generate about 1,460 jobs.
- These clearances grant administrative approval to proceed to implementation but require further land, environmental and operational permits before investment is disbursed or construction starts and local communities may see new factory jobs and supply-chain demand if projects move forward.
