Overview
- Odisha Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi on June 5 presided over the groundbreaking of 12 industrial and infrastructure projects valued at Rs28,084 crore
- The initiatives are projected to create 15,455 jobs across green hydrogen, specialty chemicals and logistics sectors in Ganjam district
- Five cornerstone projects at the Tata Steel Special Economic Zone in Gopalpur pushed total investment commitments there past Rs40,000 crore
- Key investments include Ocior Energy’s Rs7,200 crore green hydrogen and ammonia facility, HHP Five’s Rs4,000 crore hydrogen unit, major solar cell manufacturing plants and a speciality chemicals complex
- The ceremony reaffirmed Odisha’s focus on eco-friendly growth under Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s ‘Viksit Bharat’ vision following the implementation of Rs1.5 lakh crore in projects that generated 90,000 jobs since January
