• Manmohan Samal secured a fourth non-consecutive term as Odisha BJP state president on July 8, 2025.
• Since Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi took office on June 12, 2024, six ministerial seats have remained unfilled.
• The current cabinet of 16 includes two deputy chief ministers, eight cabinet ministers and five ministers of state under Majhi.
• Samal said the party is also moving to appoint members to vacant posts in state-run corporations and boards.
• The planned expansion is intended to strengthen governance and bolster BJP’s grassroots network ahead of the 2026 three-tier panchayat elections.
