Odia Playback Singer Humane Sagar Dies During Treatment at AIIMS Bhubaneswar

• AIIMS Bhubaneswar said Humane Sagar, 36, died at 9:08 pm on November 17 despite aggressive treatment by a specialist team.
• He was admitted on November 14 with diagnoses including bilateral pneumonia, acute-on-chronic liver failure, multi-organ dysfunction, severe respiratory failure, and dilated cardiomyopathy with severe LV dysfunction.
• The hospital bulletin also cited anuric acute kidney injury, encephalopathy, hepatopathy, thrombocytopenia, and coagulopathy.
• Prior reports said he had been on a ventilator, was moved from a private hospital in Cuttack to AIIMS, and plans were being made to shift him outside Odisha for advanced care.
• Odisha Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi and Leader of Opposition Naveen Patnaik offered condolences, as the Odia music community mourned the popular playback singer.
