Odermatt Wins Last Super G Race of 2023, Extends Dominance

Aleksander Aamodt Kilde emerges as main challenger after Marco Schwarz's season-ending injury.

Marco Odermatt of Switzerland won the last men's World Cup Super G race of 2023, extending his dominance in the discipline.
Odermatt beat runner-up Raphael Haaser of Austria by 0.98 seconds, marking his 10th win and 17th podium result from his last 20 super-G starts.
Aleksander Aamodt Kilde of Norway finished third, 1.31 seconds behind Odermatt, and is now Odermatt's main challenger for the overall title.
The race was interrupted after Italian skier Christof Innerhofer crashed into the safety netting and was airlifted to the hospital with a cut on his calf.
After a series of eight races in Italy, the men's World Cup next travels to Switzerland for a giant slalom and a slalom in Adelboden on Jan. 6-7.
