Overview
- Ode announced on Aug. 20 that it has acquired Casper Studios and will absorb the company’s UX design, custom-AI development, and large language model engineering teams into its services arm.
- Casper brings experience building connectors, skills and interfaces that integrate Claude into existing business systems, which Ode says will let the two teams reuse a common ‘Claude Code’ setup for faster rollouts.
- The deal follows Ode’s May purchase of Fractional AI and its July launch with Anthropic and investors, and it widens Ode’s in-house capability to place forward-deployed AI engineers inside client organizations.
- Ode CEO Chris Taylor and Casper CEO Jay Singh framed the acquisition as a close strategic fit that will let Ode deliver usable, production-ready Claude applications more quickly to enterprise clients.
- The transaction reflects a broader industry shift where model developers expand into systems integration and services to help firms adopt AI at scale, a move that could speed enterprise uptake of Claude and shape how vendors bundle models with implementation teams.
