• Odday El-Saddi, 48, was convicted on July 7 at Liverpool Crown Court of 15 counts of sexual offences including rape and sexual assault of a child under 13.
• The court heard he subjected a victim to repeated abuse over three years starting when the child was nine.
• He was sentenced to 17 years in prison and ordered to sign the sex offenders register for life.
• El-Saddi showed no remorse throughout the investigation and compelled the victim to relive the abuse in court.
