October Breast Cancer Drive Spurs Peru Screening, Andalusia Review Plan, and Spain ADC Trial

  • Peru’s Health Ministry launched a free, nationwide screening campaign for breast, cervical, prostate, colon and skin cancers throughout October, led by Dpcan director Essy Maradiegue, with early activity reported in Lima’s San Juan de Lurigancho.
  • Andalusia activated a €12 million plan to review delayed breast screening communications and scheduling, pledging checks for 2,000 affected patients within two months and adding 119 staff, a move endorsed by the regional oncology society SAOM.
