Overview
- The medical examiner named the victim as Christina G. Purdie, 27, of Kenilworth Place in Brooklyn after months of forensic work.
- Her remains were found on Aug. 6 by a city Department of Transportation worker off the Jackie Robinson Parkway near Highland Boulevard, wrapped in a black garbage bag.
- To aid identification, investigators released images of a rose tattoo on the upper left buttock, a ring with a small heart-shaped purple stone, and a barbell piercing.
- An NYPD spokesperson declined to discuss when Purdie was reported missing or how she was killed, and the family told the Daily News the medical examiner listed the cause as “homicidal violence.”
- The NYPD asks anyone with information to contact Crime Stoppers, as the 104th Precinct has logged four murders through Dec. 14, up from one at the same point last year.
