Ochsenhausen Wins German Table Tennis Cup for Fifth Time

Ochsenhausen secured their fifth German Table Tennis Cup title, their first since 2019, with a 3-1 victory over Saarbrücken in the final.
Hugo Calderano, ranked sixth in the world and an Olympic semifinalist, was instrumental, winning both his matches against Saarbrücken's top players, Patrick Franziska and Darko Jorgic.
Shunsuke Togami, a Japanese national team player, clinched the decisive third point for Ochsenhausen by defeating Eduard Ionescu in a close 3-2 match.
The final was held in Neu-Ulm in front of 5,000 spectators, showcasing high-level table tennis competition.
Ochsenhausen advanced to the final after defeating Bundesliga newcomer TTC Bad Homburg 3-1, while Saarbrücken overcame Werder Bremen by the same score.
