- The lift is initially running Wednesday through Sunday and is expected to switch to daily service once conditions allow.
- An additional 6,000 m³ of snow is stored nearby to reinforce the base and extend the season.
- Day tickets remain at €28 for adults and €20 for children, supported by new photovoltaic panels and waste‑heat reuse from the nearby luge track.
- Operations will pause for safety during Rodel World Cup events on 16–18 January and 22–24 January at the Oberhofer Eiskanal.
- Oberhof is currently the only open lift in the Thuringian Forest, with Steinach targeting 20 December for its season start with a new six‑seater chair and other areas planning later openings.
