Obelisco Lookout Concession Awarded, Tickets On Sale For Nov. 1 Opening

Mendoza-based Andesmar and DA Fre will run the site for five years under a 26.1 million‑peso monthly canon.

  • Public visits begin November 1 with daily hours from 9:00 to 17:00 and a guided experience of about 20 minutes.
  • Tickets cost ARS 18,000 for Argentine residents and ARS 36,000 for non-residents, with 50% discounts for seniors and children aged 4–11 and free entry for under‑4s.
  • Sales are available online at miradorobelisco.com.ar and in person at the repurposed triangular building on Diagonal Norte near the monument.
  • The ascent reaches 67.5 meters via eight steps to a four-person elevator and a 35-step spiral stair to the viewing platform with four cardinal windows.
  • Access is currently unavailable to people with reduced mobility, visits are reprogrammed or refunded in bad weather or disruptions, and a VR experience is advertised as coming soon.
