Oakland police officer Tuan Le was shot and killed while responding to a burglary at a marijuana dispensary near Jack London Square.
The shooting occurred around 4:30 a.m., about 3 1/2 hours after an earlier burglary was reported at the same business.
Le was in plainclothes and driving an unmarked car when he was shot by one of the individuals leaving the business.
No arrests have been made yet, but investigators are following up on a lot of 'actionable' evidence.
This incident marks the 54th death of an Oakland officer in the line of duty.
