Overview

• The fire was first reported just before 9:30 p.m. Saturday in the Chabot Park neighborhood near Skyline Boulevard and Grass Valley Road.
• Officials classified it as a three-alarm vegetation fire and dispatched more than 50 firefighters to the steep hillsides of Anthony Chabot Regional Park.
• The fire burned through about 150 square feet of brush at a slow rate, limiting its immediate spread.
