NYPD Seeks Suspect in Sexual Abuse of Corpse on NYC Subway

The NYPD is searching for a man accused of sexually abusing a deceased individual on a southbound R train near the Whitehall Street station in Manhattan.
The victim, who boarded the train at 8 p.m., was confirmed to have died of natural causes before the alleged assault occurred just after midnight on April 9.
Authorities report the male suspect searched the deceased man’s pockets before committing the assault and then fled the scene on foot.
A separate female suspect is under investigation for allegedly stealing property from the deceased man approximately an hour before the assault.
Police have released descriptions of both suspects and are urging the public to provide any information that may assist in their identification.
