NYPD Seeks Group Behind Stolen NYC Subway Train Joyride

Six masked individuals allegedly took an unoccupied subway train from a Queens storage yard, recording their ride and sharing it on social media.

The suspects stole an unoccupied R train from a storage yard at the Forest Hills-71 Av station in Queens on Saturday night.
They reportedly reached speeds of about 30 mph and recorded parts of the joyride, later posting the footage on Instagram.
The group attempted to obscure security cameras with black marker before fleeing the scene on foot; no injuries were reported.
Police have released surveillance footage and are offering a $3,500 reward for information leading to the suspects' identification.
MTA officials criticized security lapses and called for improved safeguards, while the investigation into the incident continues.
