NYPD Searches for Suspect in Unprovoked Subway Slashing

A 24-year-old man was attacked while purchasing a MetroCard at Rockefeller Center subway station.

The attack occurred just after midnight on Monday at the 47-50 Street/Rockefeller Center Subway Station.
The assailant, who remains unidentified, approached the victim from behind and inflicted a severe laceration to his face.
Surveillance footage captured the suspect re-entering the subway system at 34th Street/Penn Station.
The victim was hospitalized in stable condition at NYC Health and Hospitals/Bellevue.
No arrests have been made as the NYPD continues their search for the suspect.
