NYPD Rescues Starving Pets from Queens Home, Suspects Theft

Over a dozen animals found in deplorable conditions are believed to have been stolen, as police seek to reunite them with their owners.

Police discovered 11 dogs and two cats showing signs of neglect and malnourishment in a Queens home, suspecting they may have been stolen.
Cory Elder, 43, was arrested at his home in the Rockaways, facing multiple charges including animal neglect and possession of stolen property.
Investigators also found heroin, fentanyl, and stolen tools and DJ equipment inside the residence.
The NYPD has released photos of the animals in an effort to identify and return them to their rightful owners.
All rescued animals were taken to the ASPCA for medical care and behavioral treatment.
