NYPD Officer Charged with Attempted Murder in NJ Road Rage Incident

Hieu Tran, 27, allegedly shot a driver with his service weapon following a multi-vehicle crash in Voorhees Township last month.

Hieu Tran, an NYPD public-information officer, has been suspended without pay.
The incident occurred on May 17, resulting in the victim being hospitalized.
Surveillance video, cell phone records, and ballistics evidence linked Tran to the shooting.
Tran waived extradition and is set to face charges in Camden County, New Jersey.
He has been charged with attempted murder, aggravated assault, and unlawful weapons possession.
