NYC Special-Ed Teacher Arrested for Allegedly Choking 5-Year-Old Student

Anthony Wicks faces assault charges after reportedly dragging a child across a classroom at PS 153 in Manhattan.

Anthony Wicks, 46, was charged with second-degree assault and acting in a manner injurious to a child.
The incident occurred when the student refused to go to a time-out corner, leading to Wicks allegedly putting him in a headlock.
Witnesses reported the boy cried 'I can't breathe' as Wicks dragged him across the classroom.
The child was taken to Columbia Presbyterian Hospital for treatment following the incident.
Wicks has been removed from the school and is under supervised release pending his next court date on October 23.
