NYC Mother Fatally Shot Defending Family During Condo Robbery

Ying Zhu Liu, 57, was killed in front of her husband and son by masked robbers who remain at large.

The incident occurred late Monday night in a Lower Manhattan condo building.
Two suspects followed Liu's husband into the building and attempted to rob him in the elevator.
Liu intervened with a stick and was shot in the face by one of the robbers.
The suspects fled with Liu's husband's cellphone and have not been apprehended.
Police describe the suspects as wearing ski masks and distinctive hooded jackets.
