NYC High School Principal Reassigned Following Student Protest Over Teacher's Pro-Israel Rally

Scott Milczewski, the principal of Hillcrest High School in New York City, has been reassigned following a student protest that turned chaotic over a Jewish teacher's attendance at a pro-Israel rally.
The protest occurred after students discovered through social media that the teacher had attended a pro-Israel rally, with her profile photo showing her holding a flag that read, 'I stand with Israel.'
During the protest, more than 20 NYPD officers had to respond to the school while the teacher hid in a closet from students who were looking for her.
Milczewski's reassignment comes amid criticism for his handling of the situation and previous incidents at the school, including allegations of failing to address swastikas scrawled on student lockers.
Milczewski will be taking up a new position within the city's Department of Education as the Director of Teacher Development and Evaluation.
