NYC Gym CEO Faces Backlash Over Profanity-Laced Tirade About Unleashed Dog

Celebrity chef Eddie Huang shared footage of Matt Sauerhoff’s aggressive outburst after a dispute over leash laws in their Manhattan apartment building.

Celebrity chef Eddie Huang asked Matt Sauerhoff, CEO of The LIV Method fitness center, to leash his dog after it startled Huang and his Doberman, Mr. Chow, at their shared apartment building in Midtown Manhattan.
The incident escalated into a heated argument, with Sauerhoff hurling profanities at Huang, questioning his residency, and demanding he leave the property, as captured in videos shared by Huang.
Huang reported that the altercation began after Sauerhoff's unleashed dog caused him and his dog to fall off a bench while they were watching a UFC fight outside the building.
New York City law requires dogs to be leashed in public spaces, and Huang has since reported Sauerhoff’s violation to building management and online.
Huang claims he has not received an apology from Sauerhoff and has also alleged intimidation from Sauerhoff’s mother-in-law, who referenced her husband’s position as a judge.
