Overview

• The National Weather Service posted the advisory at 4:57 a.m. Saturday for Northern Wayne, Bradford, Susquehanna and Wyoming counties, in effect until 9 a.m.
• The alert says locally dense fog will persist into mid‑morning with visibility a half mile or less and advises drivers to slow down and use low‑beam headlights.
• On Friday, similar dense fog advisories covered multiple parts of Pennsylvania, with most expiring by 9 to 10 a.m. as the fog lifted in many locations.
• Michigan saw several advisories Friday through late morning, including Ottawa, Kent and nearby counties, where visibility fell to between a quarter and a half mile.
• Additional short‑duration alerts were issued for Cortland County, New York, and for Alabama’s Marshall, Jackson and DeKalb counties, targeting the morning commute period.
