Overview
- NVIDIA released DLSS 4.5 Ray Reconstruction on Tuesday, making the feature available immediately through the NVIDIA App’s DLSS Override so GeForce RTX users can enable it in about 30 supported titles.
- The feature uses a second-generation Transformer model that unifies denoising and Super Resolution to restore ray-traced detail such as sharper shadows, clearer reflections, and reduced ghosting and boiling.
- NVIDIA says the new model processes roughly 20% more parameters and delivers about 35% more compute headroom while keeping similar runtime performance to prior versions.
- The company updated the DLSS SDK and the NVIDIA App, added a new 'Preset F' override, and extended support to RTX Remix so developers and modders can adopt the model directly for remasters and mods.
- Several games will get native DLSS 4.5 Ray Reconstruction and path-tracing updates soon, with IO Interactive’s 007: First Light set for September 15 and Remedy’s Control Resonant for September 24, and the launch completes NVIDIA’s DLSS 4.5 suite that was trained on larger datasets using Blackwell data-center hardware.
