Nvidia Launches NemoClaw Open-Source Stack to Add Guardrails for OpenClaw Agents

The stack layers OpenShell policy controls with Nemotron models across RTX and DGX systems to address enterprise trust concerns.

Overview

  • Announced at GTC, NemoClaw is an open-source package with parts on GitHub that Nvidia cautions are early-stage and not production-ready.
  • OpenShell provides an isolated runtime that enforces policy-based security, network rules and privacy limits over what agents can access and do.
  • Nemotron family models support local or hybrid execution on GeForce RTX PCs and laptops, RTX Pro workstations, and the new DGX Spark and DGX Station.
  • Adobe, Atlassian, Salesforce, SAP and Siemens plan to embed Agent Toolkit components, while Cisco and CrowdStrike add protection and control features around OpenShell.
  • OpenClaw continues to draw frequent critical vulnerability reports, including CVSS 10 issues, so users are urged to apply the project’s frequent security updates, with VirusTotal checks added since February.
