Nvidia Commits £2 Billion to UK AI Startups as Partners Detail 120,000‑GPU Rollout

The move pairs fresh capital with new supercomputing capacity to accelerate a domestic AI ecosystem.

  • Nvidia announced a £2 billion program with Accel, Air Street Capital, Balderton, Hoxton Ventures and Phoenix Court to fund UK AI startups and expand access to advanced computing in hubs including London, Oxford, Cambridge and Manchester.
  • Nvidia said it and partners are deploying 120,000 Blackwell GPUs across the UK, with up to 60,000 due by 2026 to power new AI factories with Microsoft, Nscale, OpenAI and CoreWeave.
  • Nscale and Microsoft plan a 50MW (scalable to 90MW) AI supercomputer at Nscale’s Loughton campus, initially hosting 23,040 Nvidia GB300 GPUs slated for delivery in Q1 2027 to support Azure workloads.
