Nussmeier and Iamaleava Shine in Bowl Games, Ward, Edwards, and Milton Declare for NFL Draft

In their first college starts, quarterbacks Garrett Nussmeier and Nico Iamaleava led LSU and Tennessee to victories in the ReliaQuest and Citrus Bowls respectively, while Cameron Ward, Daijun Edwards, and Kendall Milton have declared for the NFL draft.

Garrett Nussmeier, stepping in for 2023 Heisman Trophy winner Jayden Daniels, led LSU to a 35-31 victory over Wisconsin in the ReliaQuest Bowl, throwing for 395 yards and three touchdowns.
Nussmeier rallied LSU from a 14-point second-half deficit, overshadowing Wisconsin's Tanner Mordecai who threw for a season-high 378 yards and three touchdowns.
Freshman quarterback Nico Iamaleava ran for three touchdowns and threw for one in his first career start, leading Tennessee to a 35-0 victory over Iowa in the Citrus Bowl.
Bo Nix threw for 363 yards and five touchdowns, leading Oregon to a 45-6 victory over Liberty in the Fiesta Bowl.
Former Washington State quarterback Cameron Ward has declared for the NFL draft, while Georgia running backs Daijun Edwards and Kendall Milton are also entering the draft.
