Overview

• Roksana Lecka, 22, was convicted at Kingston Crown Court on 21 counts of child cruelty after a six-week trial.
• The assaults occurred between October 2023 and June 2024 at Riverside Nursery in Twickenham and Little Munchkins in Hounslow.
• Parents alerted staff to unexplained bruises and scratches and a colleague’s report led police to analyse more than 45 hours of CCTV.
• Footage showed Lecka pinching and grabbing children, dropping babies into cots, kicking a boy in the face and stepping on his shoulder.
• She claimed cannabis use and vaping addiction impaired her memory; she has been remanded in custody and will be sentenced on September 26, 2025.
