Nuri Şahin Named Borussia Dortmund Head Coach

The former player and assistant coach signs a three-year contract, succeeding Edin Terzić.

Şahin made 274 appearances for Dortmund and was part of the 2011 league-winning team.
He returns to the club after a coaching stint at Antalyaspor and a recent role as Dortmund's assistant coach.
Şahin is credited with aiding Dortmund's run to the Champions League final last season.
Veterans Marco Reus and Mats Hummels will not be part of the squad next season.
Dortmund aims to improve on their fifth-place Bundesliga finish from last season.
