Overview

• Police say a 35-year-old allegedly struck his 55-year-old roommate in the head with a sharp object on September 22 in Nuremberg’s St. Leonhard district.
• Multiple emergency calls came in around 19:30 about a loud dispute on Kunigundenstraße, and responders found the victim bleeding heavily from the head.
• The injured man was taken to a nearby hospital where life-threatening injuries could not be ruled out at the time.
• The suspect fled after the attack, and an immediate search with several patrols and a police dog initially found no trace.
• Officers from Polizeiinspektion Nürnberg-West arrested the suspect on September 24, and the Nürnberger Kriminalpolizei’s specialist unit is investigating on suspicion of attempted homicide with motive not yet known.
